Stamp Ink Paper 100th challenge

Good morning! I am sharing my card today for our 100th challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  I can’t believe how quickly this milestone came up!! To celebrate we are going to be giving away some blog candy. All you need to do is enter a card into the challenge and for more entries to win you can comment on each of the design team members blog posts. This challenge is a Card Makers Choice and here is the inspiration

This is what I created

I love to make masculine cards so that’s what I choose to do. I used a technique called the Double Z Joy Fold card. My card base is Stampin Up Night of Navy and the first panels are Baked Brown Sugar.  The top panels are Whisper White  and I used the Hardwood background stamp and the set called Walk In The Wild.  The main panel is done with watercoloring.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Monster Birthday

Good morning! I don’t know about you but I am so enjoying this cooler weather we are having here in Northern Virginia. Those days won’t be around much longer!

Today I wanted to share my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week our challenge is Kids Birthdays. How fun is that??

This is what I created

I started my card with a Baked Brown Sugar card base. On the right hand side I stamped the splatters using the Gorgeous Grunge set with chocolate chip ink. I then added a piece of green raffia about 1 1/2 inches from the left side. Next I took a piece of whisper white cardstock and cut it to a 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 panel and then stamped the 3 monsters using the Make A Monster stamp set. I colored them using my SU markers and then distressed the panel using TH Vintage Photo Ink. I added this panel just to the left of the green raffia and then added a piece of rainbow colored ribbon to the left side of the stamped panel. For the sentiment I punched out 1 cut using the Modern Label punch in Whisper White and then cut it in half and stamped happy on one piece and Birthday on the other. I inked the edges of both and then added them to my card sliding them just under the raffia and making sure the Birthday one was out further to give it that staggering look. I added enamel dots to each of them, one brown and one pink. To finish I took a piece of green grosgrain ribbon and placed below the birthday sentiment and using a hot glue gun created a ripple effect by making a loop and glueing in between each loop and then finished with a button embellishment.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Mothers Day Card

Good morning! I’m sharing my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  Mothers Day will be here before you know it. I can’t believe it’s May already! So this challenge will help you get those Mother Day cards done a little early

Here is your inspiration

Here is the card I made

I started my card with a Strawberry Slush base. For the next layer and the banners I used an MME pad called Market. I distressed all the edges with an old pair of scissors and then inked with Vintage Photo.  I adhered the 3 banners together and tied a piece of ribbon with a bow around them and then added this to the large layer of Market paper and then adhered it all to my card base. Next I stamped the the girl using an image from a retired Unity KOTM onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth premium cardstock and colored her using my Copics.  I then die cut her out using a stitched oval die from Gina Marie.  I distressed the edges with Vintage Photo and then added her on top of the banners.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

SIP CAS Wedding Challenge

Good morning! Today I’m sharing my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week we have a CAS Wedding challenge for you

And here is my card

I have to admit I struggle with CAS cards! So this was a good challenge for me. I decided to make a pocket card. I created the base with basic black cardstock. Next I embossed two pieces of whisper white with the Stampin Up script embossing folder, trimmed in half diagonally to match the side panels and then using a sponge dauber rubbed Cool Caribbean Ink over the embossed areas and added these to the panels and secured the panels together with adhesive.  To finish the pocket I die cut 2 leaves in glimmer vellum and attached them where the folds come together and added a flower in the center. For the inside panel I started with a piece of basic black and then a layer of whisper white. I stamped the sentiment using the set Best Wishes by Hero Arts.  To finish I stamped the frame using Stampin Up Four Frames and punched that image using the Decorative Label punch and then stamped the Mr. and Mrs. using Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched it out with the Jewelry tag punch. I adhered this to the top of the panel using pop dots.

Here you can see the inside panel

100th Birthday

Good morning! Today I wanted to share my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  We have a fun Sketch Challenge for you to play along with

I decided to use the Sketch to make a bday card for someone who is turning 100 next week. That isn’t a card you get to make very often so I had so much fun putting it together! Here is what I came up with

I started my card with a Whisper White card base and then added a layer of dsp using one side of the design and then another layer using the other side of the design. Next using the bundle Nunber of Years by Stampin Up I die cut the numbers for the 100 in Tempting Turquoise and glued them down. For the next step I stamped the th, flag banner, birthday and sentiment banner using the same SU bundle and cut using the matching dies. I attached both banners using dimensionals.  Now I die cut the happy using a Hero Arts die once in Tempting Turquoise and then again in white and glued them together at a slight offset and added to my card above the 100.  To finish I layered 2 precut flowers together and added Stickles in the center.  After the Stickles dried I added the flower right below the birthday banner.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Bunny Love

Good morning! I’m here to share our new challenge this week over at Stamp Ink Paper.  We have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for you to play along with!

I choose the middle horizontal row and this is what I came up with

One of my co-workers is battling cancer and currently doing Chemotherapy and Radiation. He is having a really rough time and a bunch of us ladies at work are putting together an Easter basket for him to help lift his spirits. I was ask to make a card for his basket.

I started with a YoYo Yellow card base and then added a layer of Kraft and then a layer of patterned paper. I Die cut the basket with Kraft paper using a Gina Marie die. I created a strip of grass using green cardstock and my Stampin Up fringe scissors and layered it behind the basket. And then Die cut 3 egg shapes and colored with my SU markers and added them in the grass.  To finish the basket I tied a piece of yellow ribbon on the handle and then attached the basket to the card. Next I stamped the bunny from the Unity set Lil Wee Bunny and colored with my copic markers then fussy cut and attached to the card using a wobble.  To finish I typed the sentiment and printed on white cardstock and backed it on Kraft and added to my card above the bunny and basket.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Hope you can play along with us this week!

Until next time

Be Inspired

Good morning! Today I am over at Stamp Ink Paper with our new challenge. This week we have a color inspiration challenge for you.

This is what I was inspired to make

I used a concord crush card base with a layer of basic grey. The main layer is Whisper white. I masked off the center with an oval and sponged inside the oval with Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Concord Crush. Next I stamped the branches and flower with a set from I Brake For Stamps. I outlined the flowers in the branches with a while gel pen and colored the flower petals with a concord crush marker. To finish I stamped the sentiment in the lower right corner.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Until next time
