SIP Challenge #45 – Welcome Baby

Good morning!  It’s Tuesday and that means we have a another challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week our inspiration for you is all about Babies!

SIP Challenge #45 - Welcome Baby

Here is my card I created

SU Buggies and Booties

I started with a Whisper White card base.  For the next three layers I used Old Olive, Regal Rose and a piece of Whisper White that I embossed with a Darice button folder and then sponged Regal Rose ink over the embossed buttons.  I adhered all those layers together and then wrapped a piece of Pretty In Pink ribbon around them and then added to my card base.  Next I die cut 3 layered labels using a Spellbinder die set in Old Olive, Regal Rose and Whisper White  I stamped the Booties image on the white label using a set called Buggies and Booties in Regal Rose ink and sponged the edges, then layered all three and attached to my card.  To finish I stamped the sentiment from the same set on Whisper White and layered it on a piece of Old Olive and added to my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed my card this week and have been inspired to play along with us!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

SIP Inspiration Challenge #44

Good morning!  What a gorgeous day we had yesterday.  Hope yours was just as beautiful. It’s Tuesday and that means we have another challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week we have a Nautical theme for inspiration

SIP Nautical Inspiration Challenge #44

Here is what I created from this inspiration

By The Tide

I was inspired by a card I seen on Pinterest and wanted to use the SU set By The Tide which will be retiring when the new catalog comes out.

I started with a Pumpkin Pie card base.  The next layer is Lucky Limeade and then a layer of Marina Mist that I stamped the Hardwood background stamp in Stazon black ink and then distressed the edges in black.  I distressed a piece of  cheesecloth with TH Vintage Photo ink and then wrapped it around these two layers and then attached to my card base.  Next I die cut 3 layered circles using my framelits from MFT, the largest in Lucky Limeade, the middle in Basic Black and the smallest in Whisper White.  On the white circle I inked it with Soft Sky and Marina Mist using a direct to paper technique and then stamped the reef in both Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze.  Now I layered all three together and added a clear window on top of the smallest circle and then attached these to the card front.  I used my copper pearl pen and created the rivets on the largest circle.  Next I stamped the fish, lobster and shell on watercolor paper using Stazon black ink and then die cut them using DiesbyDave framelits. Using a blender pen and the following colors, Pool Party, Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Lucky Limeade I colored in all the images.  After they were completely dry I used Glossy Accents on them and then allowed that to dry and added them to my card front using dimensionals.  To finish I stamped the sentiments from the set By The Sea Sentiments from MSE on Pumpkin Pie Cardstock and fussy cut them and added to the front using dimensionals.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you have enjoyed my card this week and have been inspired to play along with us!

Until next time

SIP Sketch Challenge #43

Good morning!  I hope you are enjoying this rainy spring day. It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week our inspiration for you comes from a fun sketch

SIP Sketch Challenge #43

Here is what I created using this sketch

Stampin Up Traveler Birthday

I started with a Coastal Cabana card base and then a layer of Real Red. The next layer is a piece of Kraft Cardstock that I stamped with the Old World Map by Stampin Up (1998) in Stazon black ink. For my main image I used a piece of watercolor paper. I stamped the ship from the set Traverlers directly on the paper and then again on a piece of acetate, which I used to transfer the reflection image. I watercolored the water scene using Coastal Cabana ink and a water brush.  I used my Real Red marker to accent the boat. To finish I cut flag banners from Coastal Cabana and Real Red Cardstock and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the set Guy Greeetings and added some of my homemade enamel dots.

I am also entering my card into the challenge this week over at RetroRubber Challenge blog for their April showers challenge.  You can see the challenge here http://www.retrorubberchallengeblog.com/my-blog/2016/04/challenge-36-april-showers.html

SIP Challenge #42 Colors

Good morning! It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week our inspiration comes from colors

SIP Challenge #42 Colors

I love love these colors. I knew instantly I wanted to use a sponging technique! Here is what I created

Your My Anchor

I started with a Night of Navy card base and then a layer of Whisper White and Bermuda Bay. Next I took another piece of Whisper White and using the tree stamp from the set Bramch Out (2009) stamped it first in Soft Sky and then Bermuda Bay and lastly in Night of Navy. Now I started the sponging in the center with Soft Sky and coming further out with Bermuda Bay and the outer layer in Night of Navy. To finish I stamped the sentiment in Stazon black from the set Guy Greetings.

I am also entering my card into the Retro Rubber anything goes challenge this week.  RRCB35  You can see their challenge here http://www.retrorubberchallengeblog.com/my-blog/2016/03/challenge-35-anything-goes.html
