Celebrate

Good morning! Today I wanted to share my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper . We have a Food & Drink theme for this challenge. Here is the inspiration

Stamp Ink Paper Challenge 146 Food & Drink

The timing for this theme couldn’t have been better as I had just received my new TIm Holtz blueprint stamps!

Here is what I created

Celebrate

I started with a kraft card base that I distressed the edges with walnut stain ink. The next layer is a piece of SU Cucumber Crush, also distressed with walnut stain. The top layer is a piece of kraft that I die cut using the Tim Holtz Cabinet Card die and then embossed using the Tim Holtz wood grain folder and then distressed with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain inks. Now for the fun part! I stamped the beer bottle and beer mug stamps on Bristol Smooth Vellum cardstock with Stazon black ink. I then watercolored using distress inks in Lucky Clover and Scattered Straw. Once they were dry I accented them with glossy accents and added white snow paste to the foam area on the mug. After they had set up I fussy cut them and added to my card using dimensionals. To finish I stamped the sentiment on black cardstock with Versamark and then hear embossed with white and added above the drinks using dimensionals.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Oh Happy Day

Good morning! Today I’m sharing my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper this week. About this time of year we are starting to get cabin fever from being inside so much due to the winter temperatures. So this week we created cards that remind us of the warmer weather that will come with the change of seasons. Here is the inspiration

Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #136 Cabin Fever

And here is my card I created

Oh Happy Day

Who doesn’t love a beautiful day at the beach??

I started with a kraft card base and then added a layer of Tempting Turquoise. For the main layer I used a piece of water color paper and stamped the Beach Scene, from BlueKnightRubberStamps, with StaZon black ink. I watercolored the sand and water sections using distress inks and a water pen. After that dried I went back and stamped the sand castle and sand toys and watercolored them. Next I stamped the logs on a scrap piece and watercolored them and fussy cut after it was dried. I added those in the sand using dimensions. Now on to the sky. Using a cloud stencil by Inkylicious and distress inks I created the clouds for the sky. This was my first attempt at creating clouds and although I’m not unhappy with it I know I definitely need to practice this technique! To finish I stamped the sentiment in the clouds using a set from Green Grass Stamps.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Happy Stamping 🙂

Adventure

Good morning! First I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year! Do you have any crafty new year goals? My goals for this year is to make and send at least 10 birthday cards a month. I also want to make at least 5 Christmas cards a month so I will be finished and ready to mail them all by the beginning of December. So to start this year off I have made a masculine birthday card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper. Our first challenge for 2018 is all about embossing. Here is the inspiration

Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #131 Emboss It!I love all the different ways you can use embossing but for my card today I chose an embossing folder. Here is what I created

Adventure

I started with a kraft card base and added a layer of Basic black. For the next layer I used a piece of kraft and embossed using the Tim Holtz Travel Signs folder and then distressed the embossed portions with Vintage Photo ink and added this layer on top of the black. Next I embossed a piece of silver foil paper with the folder and die cut the center with a circle framelit and adhered this on top of the kraft embossed layer lining up the words. I used black soot ink and distressed the foil layer. To finish my card I stamped the train image by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps, and colored in using my copics and then fussy cut and added to my card front using dimensionals.

You can find the train stamp here http://blueknightrubberstamps.com/antique-train/.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Unity Stamp Co GIU Blog Hop

Good morning! Today I am part of a blog hop for Unity Stamp Co as a Growing In Unity girl. I am the first stop followed by some amazing ladies. Be sure to stop by everyone’s blog and comment on their posts to be eligible to win a prize package from Unity Stamp Co!

Here is the card I created

I started with a SU Wild Wasabi card base and then added a layer of Basic Black. For the main layer I used a piece of watercolor cardstock. I stamped the flower from the Unity set Blow Your Mind using Stazon jet black ink. After that dried I watercolored the flower using Tim Holtz Distress Inks Abandoned Coral, Dried Marigold and Squeezed Lemonade. After that dried I used my clear Wink Of Stella pen and highlighted the center of the flower.  I used Fossilized Amber to create shadows around the flower. Next I used a paint brush and watered down Vintage Photo and flicked the splatters and then using a sponge distressed the edges with Vintage Photo.   I took twine and made the loops and attached at the flower stem base. To finish I stamped the sentiment from the Unity set Poppy Girl on white cardstock and then fussy Cut and distressed the edges in Vintage Photo and added on top the twine using dimensionals.

Adventure Begins

Good morning! Today is my fourth day in my Growing In Unity week. I have had so much fun creating with Unity stamps this week. So here is my card for today

I started with a Basic Black card base followed with a layer of kraft that I distressed the edges with Vintage Photo ink. For the main layer I started with a Whisper White piece of cardstock and first stamped the splattered bullseye, from the Unity set Let Adventure, in versamark and after that dried I sponged the background using distress inks Mermaid Lagoon, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint and Spiced Marmalade. Next using the same stamp set I stamped the corners and the sentiment using Stazon black ink. To finish I stamped the butterfly on white cardstock and colored using my distress markers and then fussy cut it and curled the wings to give dimension and adhered to the card front only glueing down the body.

Mystical Mermaid

Good morning! I am so excited to be participating with Unity Stamp Co as a Growing In Unity girl this week. Each week there are two Growing in Unity Girls. Every day this week (Monday through Friday) I will post a card/project featuring a Unity Stamp/Set on my blog. Then at the end of the week, two winners will be chosen randomly from the people who have commented on my GIU blog posts. Those winners will receive a package in the mail from Unity… containing 25 random stamps.

So for my first project I made a mixed media canvas

I started with a 10 x 10 canvas and primed it with Gesso. Next I covered it using Tim Holtz distress stains in Spiced Marmalade, Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean. After that dried I stamped the whole surface using a bubbles stamp from Unity.  Next came the fun! I covered the bottom with a piece of fishing net and then added all kinds of elements, sea shells, metal findings, tags, string of pearls and much more. After glueing them all down I primed them with gesso and then sprayed with the distress stains. Once that was all dry I layered another piece of fishing net. I added a starfish that I got at Micheals and sprayed with a glimmer mist. While the adhesive on the starfish was drying I took my mermaid stamp from Unity and stamped her on Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth cardstock and then colored her with my copics and fussy cut her and glued her down to the center of the starfish. To finish I took a piece of chipboard and stained with the Spiced Marmalade and punched 2 holes at the top and added a string of pearls so that it could hang from the compass charm and then stamped the sentiment on a piece of cardstock that I distressed with the stains and fussy cut and attached to the sign, added more seashells and a ring with keys attached with a brad.  I had so much fun making this canvas. I am sending this off to a friend, who just adores mermaids, this week.

I will link below the Unity stamps I used on my canvas.

SIP Challenge #68 Card Makers Choice

Good morning! We are finally getting some sunshine here in Virginia after a week of steady rain. So I am enjoying the break before we get the storms from the hurricane Matthew.

It’s Tuesday and I wanted to share my card for this weeks challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  Our challenge is a Card Makers Choice so the possibilities are endless!

Here is my card

I started with a Tangerine Tango card base. For the main layer I started with a piece of Whisper White, first using a circle die cut to mask off the area for the sun, I sponged the background using my Tim Holtz distress inks. Starting at the top I sponged Squeezed Lemonade and then a layer of Wild Honey and finally the bottom area with Rusty Hinge. When I finished sponging I removed the circle die cut to reveal the moon. For the trees I used a stamp set by Sweet n Sassy called Tender Thoughts. I stamped the trees using Stazon black ink. Now I added this stamped layer to a layer of Whisper White and then those layers to a piece of Kraft cardstock and then added these to the card base. Next I die cut the deer using a die from Gina Marie designs and added it to my card using pop dots. To finish I stamped the sentiment from the Tender Thoughts set on white and punched out with the modern label punch and layered on top of yellow and added with pop dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Until next time

Happy crafting 🙂
