SIP Challenege #36 Card Makers Choice

Good morning! I hope you had a good weekend. We had beautiful weather with temps in the 70’s on Saturday. Come on Spring!!!

Its Tuesday and that means we have another challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week is a Card Makers Choice challenge. Don’t you just love that kind of freedom! Here is your inspiration

SIP Challenege #36 Card Makers Choice

My cards this week came from the inspiration of a card made by Maria Willis.

Rose Wonder

Rose Wonder

For both cards I used Whisper White as my card base and then a layer of Basic Black and a layer of Typeset dsp.  Next I die cut the Rose using the Rose Garden thinlet die in Basic Black cardstock and glued it down using Tombow glue.  For the top card I die cut the Rose again using red foil paper and Old Olive paper.  Using all the die cut pieces I paper pieced them into the Rose outline.  For the second card I filled the spaces in with red and green distress glitter.  To finish my cards I die cut the label in Basic Black and then stamped the sentiment, both from the Rose Wonder set, in Real Red on Whisper White and then using the small oval punch cut it out and placed it on the label and attached to the cards.

Here is a peek at the inside

Rose Wonder

Although I like them both the top is my favorite!  Thank you so much Maria for making such a beautiful card and inspiring me to create this too!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my cards and have been inspired to play along with us this week!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

Botanical Blooms

Hello! I wanted to share a card I made with the new Botanical Blooms bundle from Stampin Up. This has to be my most favorite bundle from the Occasions catalog!

While exploring Pinterest for cards made with this bundle I came across a card made by Karen Barber that I wanted to case and this is my version.

I started with a Whisper White card base and stamped the flourish background in Blushing Bride with a Hero Arts stamp and then added a piece of Botanical Gardens dsp at the bottom. Next using the framelits I die cut the flowers in Blushing Bride, Old Olive and Punpkin Pie and the leaves in Old Olive. I coated the leaves with Glossy Accents and accented the flower stamens with a white gel pen and then added a bling to the center of each of the flowers. Next I arranged the leaves and flowers, glueing them down in the process. Next I stamped the sentiment from the set Rose Wonder in Stazon black ink in the center. To finish I added a strip of black satin ribbon at the top and then added a bow embellished with a Botanical gardens jewel.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card.

Until next time

SIP #35 Sketch Challenge

Good morning! It’s Tuesday and that means we have another challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week our inspiration comes from a sketchSIP #35 Sketch Challenge

Here is what I created

I Love You A Latte

I just recently purchased the Coffee Talk collection from Heartfelt Creations and was so excited to use it for this challenge! I started with a Chocolate Chip card base and for the next layer I took a piece of Very Vanilla and stamped the coffee beans around the edges.  The next layer is from the Coffee Talk paper collection.  The next layer is a  2 1/2 X 3 1/2 piece of Chocolate Chip.  Now I took a piece of natural cotton ribbon and stamped the coffee beans on it and then wrapped it around the three layers and then adhered these to the card base.  Next I stamped the coffee cup and the I Love You A Latte sentiment onto Very Vanilla cardstock with Chocolate Chip and Bordering Blue inks and then die cut with the coordinating dies.  I colored the flowers on the coffee cup with my Bordering Blue marker and also coated the sentiment in Glossy Accents and then added both those to my card.  To finish I stamped the spoon with versamark and embossed with silver on grey cardstock and then die cut with the coordinating die and added to my card using pop dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed my card today and have been inspired to play along with us this week.

Until next time

SIP#34 Love Challenge

Good morning! We are getting more of that white stuff here in Virginia this morning and we still have some from that massive storm we got a little over 2 weeks ago! Ok on to more happy things

It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week our inspiration is Love

SIP #34 Love Challenge

Here is what I created

Love Is In The Air

I started my card with a Real Red card base.  The next layer is a piece of Whisper White embossed with the Square Lattice emvossing folder and a piece of real red ribbon wrapped around the middle.  Next I die cut 3 hearts from the SU heart framelits.  On the largest heart I stamped the En Francais background stamp in Real Red ink, the middle heart I embossed with the Square Lattice folder and the smallest heart I stamped the image from the set Take It To Heart in Real Red ink.  I layered all the hearts and attached them to my card and then placed a bow I made with the Real Red ribbon to the left of the hearts.  To finish I stamped the banner in Real Red ink from the new set called Bloomin Love and then stamped the sentiment (masking off the heart) inside the banner.  I fussy cut the finished banner and using pop dots placed it on my card in the lower left side and then using the mini heart punch cut a heart out of a piece of Real Red cardstock and placed it right above the banner.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card today.  If you feel inspired please go to Stamp Ink Paper and enter your creation. I would love to see what you create!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

SIP #33 Color Challenge

Good morning! We can finally see some ground after that massive snow storm we got last weekend here on the East Coast.  Did you get any snow from that storm?

It’s Tuesday and that means we have another challenge for you today over at Stamp Ink Paper.

This week we have a color inspiration for you

SIP #33 Color Challenge

This is what I created with these colors

Bloomin Hearts Be Mine

I started my card with a Real Red card base.  I didn’t have any gold cardstock so I used a scrap piece of paper and embossed it in gold for my next layer.  The top layer is a piece of Basic Black that I embossed with a Tim Holtz music folder.  Next I die cut the SU Bloomin Hearts in Real Red cardstock and then clear embossed it and layered it on my card and then added some gold flat back pearls on the flower parts of the heart.  To finish I stamped the banner and sentiment from the set Bloomin Love onto Kraft cardstock and then fussy cut it out and placed above the heart with pop dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed my card and you can come play along with our color challenge this week!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂
