The Light You Shine

Good morning! I wanted to share my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper. This week our challenge is all about summer. Here is the inspiration

Here is what I created

I decided to break open my SU set High Tide and create with it. I found some inspiration from a card on Pinterest. My card base is Whisper White and the next layer is started with Whisper White and then sponged the sky using Pacific Point and the sand using Sahara Sand and stamped the sand with Baked Brown Sugar. For the next layer I die cut the sun rays using the SU Thinlet and sponged with YoYo Yellow and added on top of the sky and sand layer and stamped the birds in the upper right hand side. Next I die cut a smaller stitched rectangle and sponged with Pacific Point and then stamped the sentiment on the right and the birds on the left and added this on top of the sun rays. To finish I stamped the lighthouse using my Misti and inks, Real Red and Stazon black. After stamping I fussy cut the lighthouse and added to the layer with the sentiment using pop dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

SIP Color Challenge #86

Good morning and Happy Valentine’s Day! I wanted to share our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper for this week.  It’s a color challenge with some beautiful spring colors

I love these colors! It makes me wish spring was here now. I decided to make a tag for this challenge.

I started with a Manila tag and covered the front with some paper from the MME Handsome Boy paper pad.  This pad was perfect because it had all the colors in the challenge. Next I cut a piece of yellow canvas material and added it at angle and then layered the cloud background paper from the same paper pad.  Now for the fun part! I stamped the Julie Netting girl from the set For You onto white cardstock. I colored in her hair, face, arms and legs using my Copics. I stamped her again on another piece of paper from the MME paper pad and fussy cut the dress and paper pieced to the first image. I colored her head band, belt and shoes with a black copic marker and then added glossy accents. Once that dried I add her to my tag on the cloud background. I took 3 white flowers I had in my stash and sprayed them with yellow, orange and teal and added to my tag using hot glue.  For the charms I used a Tim Holtz pin and added a bronze metal feather and cameo. To finish I added a piece of lace through the tag hole.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Love You Much

Good morning! Hope your enjoying the beginning of this beautiful day. I wanted to share my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  With Valentine’s Day nearing we have a Love challenge for you this week

Here is the card I created

I pushed myself out of my comfort zone for this card. I’m not a real mushy kind of person but I wanted to make a more traditional Valentine’s card.

I started with a pretty in pink card base.  I used a heart border punch and created the border on the right side of the card front. Next I cut two mats, one in real red and one in white and rounded all the corners. I layered the white on top of the red and added to my card and then stamped the sentiment from the set Love You Much in real red ink. I added one of the pink hearts and outlined it with Stickles.

Here is the inside

I added a piece of real red cardstock to the right side so it would show through the open hearts from the front. To finish I matted the inside white white and stamped the sentiment and added hearts.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Until next time

SIP Challenge #84 Tic-Tac-Toe

Good morning!  Today I’m sharing my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week we have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for you. Here is the inspiration

I choose the diagonal row with Die Cut, Circular Element and Sequins.

Here is the card I made

I know Christmas is gone and past but I couldn’t resist coloring up this cutie from The Greeting Farm.

For this card I choose to make a 5×5 card. I started with a Pacific Point card base and then a layer of Real Red.  For the next layer I used a piece of Whisper White and stamped several snowflakes and then distressed with Marina Mist ink.  Next I die cut one of the large circle scallops in Basic Black and looped a piece of Poppy Parade stitched ribbon through two of the scalloped holes and then wrapped around the white and red layers.  For the main piece I die cut a Stitched circle out of Whisper White and stamped the girl, Holiday Anya 2 from The Greeting Farm, and colored her in with Copics. To finish I stamped a couple snowflakes and added some sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Until next time

Stay warm and Happy Stamping 🙂

Special Day

Good morning! I wanted to share with you today the card I created for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week we have a fun Sketch for you

Here is what I created using this Sketch

I started with a Whisper White card base and then added a layer of black that I die cut using Gina Marie’s rectangle dotted stud dies and then a layer of Coastal Cabana recessed in the black layer.  Next I die cut the black circle using the circle dotted stud dies. For the inside of the black circle I die cut a piece of the SU Inside The Lines dsp and colored the flower with the coastal cabana blendabilities and the leaves with copics. I then die cut the bumble bee in black cardstock and popped him on the side of the flower. I then layered this piece on top the black circle and added to my card on the lower left side. Next I stamped the sentiment from SU Dragonfly Dreams above the circle on the coastal cabana layer. To finish I die cut the dragonflies from the coordinating thinlets and used Inka Gold Metallic rubs to color them and then added them above the main image.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Special Friends

Good morning! Along with the warmer weather we are having we are getting lots of rain. So what better way to spend a rainy day than playing in my craftroom with new goodies!

I wanted to share my card I made for the design team over at Firefly Crafts.  This month I got to play with a set from Penny Black.  Here is what I created today

I just adore this set Mimi’s Love!!

I started with a SU Lucky Limeade card base and then added a layer of burlap. For the next layer I took a piece of Basic Black and heat embossed the sentiment (from the Mimi’s Love) in white on the upper right and attached this piece to the burlap layer.  Next I created three layers of landscape, using the Poppystamps stitched landscape dies, and inked sponged them with SU Lucky Limeade and Old Olive inks, layered them together and added to the bottom of the black layer cardstock. Now I stamped the Tree Ring (Concord and 9th) onto watercolor paper with StaZon black ink and colored in with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.  Once that dried I fussy cut it and added it to my card front. For the tree I die cut that using the Cottage Cutz Tall Tree die on white cardstock and colored with copic markers and then assembled the tree and added it on top the tree ring on the left side. Now is when I get to play with Mimi’s Love!! I stamped the scene with the deer using Momento black ink onto X-Press It cardstock and colored with copic markers and then fussy cut the scene and added this piece on top of the tree and tree ring.  For the final touch I stamped several more of the mushrooms from the scene and colored them in and fussy cut and added to my card across the Landscape hills.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my creation.

Would You Be Mine

Good morning! I hope you have had the nice break in the weather that we have. I know it will be be short lived but I am loving it! Today I wanted to share my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper this week. This challenge is all about Natural Elements and here is the inspiration

The possibilities are endless with this theme. I tossed with the ideas of burlap, wood or a water scene and finally decided with wood. I recently purchased the tree ring stamp from Concord and 9th and wanted to use it for my card. Here is what I created

I started with a Basic Black card base and then added a layer of Whisper White that I splattered with red and brown using Wink of Stella pens. Next I took the tree ring and stamped it with StaZon onto watercolor paper and then colored it using my watercolor brush and Tim Holtz vintage photo ink.  After that dried I fussy cut the image and cut the heart out in the center using a framelit die from Gina Marie designs and then added a piece of red cardstock on the back.  I then die cut a black arrow using my Little B die and cut it in 2 pieces and added it to the tree ring on the edges of the heart center and added this piece to the card. To finish I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin Up set Would You Be Mine in the lower right.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Until next time
