SIP Color Challenge #24

Good morning! It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper. This week it’s a color challenge

SIP Color Challenge #24

Here is what I created with these colors

Best Thoughts

I started with a Basic Black card base and then a layer of Watermelon Wonder and another layer of Basic Black.  Next I cut a layer with water color cardstock and stamped the image and sentiment in Stazon black.  I used a aqua painter brush and Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush markers.  I took the markers and scribbled some ink on my craft mat and then picked it up with my aqua brush and colored the flower.  To finish I tied a small bow using the Watermelon Wonder lace ribbon and attached right below the flower.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed my card today.  I hope you can play along with us this week for this color challenge!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

SIP #23 Sketch Challenge

Good morning! We have had wonderful fall weather this week with temps in the 50 and 60’s. I hope you are having beautiful weather as well! It’s Tuesday and that means we have another Challenege for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.

This week is a sketch challenge

SIP #23 Sketch Challenge

For this challenge I choose to use the Home for Christmas dsp from SU.

Home for Christmas

I started with Coastal Cabana for my card base. Then I have a layer of Real Red with a layer of the dsp and wrapped the striped ribbon around those layers and attached to my card. Next I grunged a craft tag and fussy cut one of the Santas from the dsp and added him to my tag and using pop dots layered the tag over top of the ribbon. To finish I stamped the sentiment from the set Wonderous Wishes on coastal cabana and cut flag ends on both sides and popped it right below the card.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed my card this week. I hope you can play along with us this week and can’t wait to see what you create!

Until next time

OSAT Holidays Blog Hop

OSAT BH banner

Good Morning and welcome to my blog.  Today I am over at the OSAT Holidays Blog Hop.  This month we are sharing our Christmas creations. Here is my card

  • Stampin Up Woodland Christmas
  • I got the idea for this card from a very talented fellow crafter Lisa Jones. For my card I choose to use the new Stampin Up Woodlands embossing folder. Which may be my all time favorite folder ever!!! I started with a Night of Navy card base. The next layer is a piece of Whisper White embossed with the Simply Falling folder. The top layer I started with a piece of Whisper White and before embossing it with the Woodlands folder I did the following to the folder : first I punched a 1 inch circle and taped it on the folder where I wanted the moon to be, and then I used my brayer and Marina Mist ink and went over the side of the folder that has the trees recessed (Tina this is another reason why you need this ink!!). Next I used Mossy Meadow ink and the trees stamp from the set Wonderland and stamped the trees randomly on the bottom side. Next I removed the circle mask I had taped down and put my cardstock in the folder and embossed. After removing the paper I used Baked Brown Sugar ink and my brayer and went over the trees.  Next I outlined the trees with a black Sharpie pen. I learned this technique from my very talented and creative friend Sharon White!! I used a white gel pen to give the look of falling snow. Next I attached this piece to the embossed white piece and added the strip of white grosgrain ribbon and then attached those pieces to the card base. I stamped the sentiment from Cozy Christmas in versamark on the navy cardstock and heat embossed in white and then fussy cut and popped it on the ribbon. Here is a closer pic of my card

SIP Free for Fall Challenege #22

Good morning! It’s Tuesday again and this week we have a fun Challenege for you over at Stamp Ink Paper. This week our inspiration is Fall and we are making projects related to the Fall season.

SIP Free For Fall Challenge #22

For my project I choose to make a luminary. Here is my creation

Fall Luminary

I used my Tim Holtz Luminary XL die and cut the pieces out with Kraft cardstock. I distressed all the edges with vintage photo ink and then assembled using the instructions that came with the die. I cut 4 pieces out of vellum for the glass windows and stamped the image from Day of Gratitude on the  one of the pieces for the front window and attached them from the inside. To finish I tied a piece of ribbon around the bottom and added some flowers. I used a tea light for this luminary. I am going to use this as a table piece for our Thanksgiving dinner.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed my creation this week.

I hope you all can come play with us this week and I can’t wait to see what awesome projects you make!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

SIP CAS Christmas Challenge #21

Good morning! It’s Tuesday and that means we have another challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  The challenge is a Clean and Simple Christmas card

SIP CAS Christmas Challenge #21

For my card I choose to use the Stampin Up set Lovely As A Tree. One of my all time favorites!!  Here is my card

Stampin Up Lovely As A Tree

I started with a Midnight Muse card base. The next layer I started with Whisper White and using a scrap piece of paper I cut an oval out and then used it as a stencil and sponged in the blue on the whisper white using Midnight Muse and Marina Mist inks. Next I stamped the tree from Lovely As A Tree with Stazon black ink on top of the sponged area.  To finish my card I stamped the sentiment from Special Season.

I hope you have enjoyed my card for the challenge and you are inspired to come play along with us this week!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂
