SIP Challenge #91

Good morning! I’m over at Stamp Ink Paper today for our new challenge. This week we are celebrating one of our designers Birthday’s!! Happy Birthday Andrea!

Here is the card I created

I started with a Whisper White card base and then added a layer of Basic Black. For the main panel I used Whisper White and sponged in the background, with the moon masked, in Melon Mambo and Old Olive inks. Next I removed the moon mask and then stamped the branch from the set Easter Blossoms and colored in the petals with markers. To finish I stamped the sentiment and fairy from So Suzy stamps with archival black ink.

Thank you so much for stopping by today to check out my creation!

Until next time

Hats Off To You

Good morning! I’m here to share my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper this week.  This challenge is for shaker cards. How fun is that!!

And here is my shaker card

I used a black card base and matted with red and then another layer of black. For the top layer I used a white layer with a rectangle cut out for the shaker part. I stamped the sentiments and hat before using foam tape to border the inside of the rectangle to hold the sequins.  Super fun and quick card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

SIP Challenge #88 – Anything But A Card

Good morning! After such a beautiful week of warm weather last week the cold is back. One positive to that is staying indoors and what better way to occupy your time than crafting!

I would like to share our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper this week.  This challenge is Anything But A Card

Last week 2 of my nieces, 11 and 13, were in a horrific accident. They were sitting in my moms car in her driveway listening to the radio, which they do frequently, and were hit head on by a drunk driver who lost control of her truck and went crashing through the front yard and landed head on into the car. One of girls had to be air lifted from the scene. We are so thankful that the girls made it through this. So for my project this week I made them each a journal that they can use to write in daily.

Here is the cover of one of them. I still need to add titles to the fronts. I created the front and back covers with chipboard covered with paper. Each journal has 11 signatures.

To bind the signatures to the covers I used waxed linen thread and the Coptic stitching method.

As the girls are still very traumatized as to why this all happened I hope these journals will help them put their thoughts down on paper and begin to heal from this all.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Until next time

Happy Crafting

SIP Color Challenge #86

Good morning and Happy Valentine’s Day! I wanted to share our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper for this week.  It’s a color challenge with some beautiful spring colors

I love these colors! It makes me wish spring was here now. I decided to make a tag for this challenge.

I started with a Manila tag and covered the front with some paper from the MME Handsome Boy paper pad.  This pad was perfect because it had all the colors in the challenge. Next I cut a piece of yellow canvas material and added it at angle and then layered the cloud background paper from the same paper pad.  Now for the fun part! I stamped the Julie Netting girl from the set For You onto white cardstock. I colored in her hair, face, arms and legs using my Copics. I stamped her again on another piece of paper from the MME paper pad and fussy cut the dress and paper pieced to the first image. I colored her head band, belt and shoes with a black copic marker and then added glossy accents. Once that dried I add her to my tag on the cloud background. I took 3 white flowers I had in my stash and sprayed them with yellow, orange and teal and added to my tag using hot glue.  For the charms I used a Tim Holtz pin and added a bronze metal feather and cameo. To finish I added a piece of lace through the tag hole.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Love You Much

Good morning! Hope your enjoying the beginning of this beautiful day. I wanted to share my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  With Valentine’s Day nearing we have a Love challenge for you this week

Here is the card I created

I pushed myself out of my comfort zone for this card. I’m not a real mushy kind of person but I wanted to make a more traditional Valentine’s card.

I started with a pretty in pink card base.  I used a heart border punch and created the border on the right side of the card front. Next I cut two mats, one in real red and one in white and rounded all the corners. I layered the white on top of the red and added to my card and then stamped the sentiment from the set Love You Much in real red ink. I added one of the pink hearts and outlined it with Stickles.

Here is the inside

I added a piece of real red cardstock to the right side so it would show through the open hearts from the front. To finish I matted the inside white white and stamped the sentiment and added hearts.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Until next time

Happy Crafting:)

SIP Challenge #84 Tic-Tac-Toe

Good morning!  Today I’m sharing my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week we have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for you. Here is the inspiration

I choose the diagonal row with Die Cut, Circular Element and Sequins.

Here is the card I made

I know Christmas is gone and past but I couldn’t resist coloring up this cutie from The Greeting Farm.

For this card I choose to make a 5×5 card. I started with a Pacific Point card base and then a layer of Real Red.  For the next layer I used a piece of Whisper White and stamped several snowflakes and then distressed with Marina Mist ink.  Next I die cut one of the large circle scallops in Basic Black and looped a piece of Poppy Parade stitched ribbon through two of the scalloped holes and then wrapped around the white and red layers.  For the main piece I die cut a Stitched circle out of Whisper White and stamped the girl, Holiday Anya 2 from The Greeting Farm, and colored her in with Copics. To finish I stamped a couple snowflakes and added some sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Until next time

Stay warm and Happy Stamping 🙂

Special Day

Good morning! I wanted to share with you today the card I created for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week we have a fun Sketch for you

Here is what I created using this Sketch

I started with a Whisper White card base and then added a layer of black that I die cut using Gina Marie’s rectangle dotted stud dies and then a layer of Coastal Cabana recessed in the black layer.  Next I die cut the black circle using the circle dotted stud dies. For the inside of the black circle I die cut a piece of the SU Inside The Lines dsp and colored the flower with the coastal cabana blendabilities and the leaves with copics. I then die cut the bumble bee in black cardstock and popped him on the side of the flower. I then layered this piece on top the black circle and added to my card on the lower left side. Next I stamped the sentiment from SU Dragonfly Dreams above the circle on the coastal cabana layer. To finish I die cut the dragonflies from the coordinating thinlets and used Inka Gold Metallic rubs to color them and then added them above the main image.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time
