SIP Challenge #28

Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! It’s Tuesday and that means we have another challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper

This is our inspiration this week

SIP Challenge #28

And this is what I created

A Day To Remember

I have only made a few cards with no stamping but when I seen this tag I knew I wanted to use it for the sentiment.

I started my card with a Kraft cardstock base.  The rest of the layers are alternated with papers from a SEI collection called Lexington and Kraft cardstock.  The middle two layers are wrapped with a piece of SU Mint Macaroon dotted lace trim.  On the top layer I used a piece of the SEI paper and punched it with a Martha Stewart border punch and then layered a piece of Whisper White on top.  Next I die cut the girl with gown from a piece of Whisper White cardstock and then cut her again with a piece of the SEI paper.  On the white die cut I colored the skin and hair with my copics.  Next I trimmed the SEI die cut so I was left with just the gown and paper pieced it on top of the Whisper White one and then using a piece of scrap white paper die cut just the hands and arms and paper pieced them on so she had white gloves on.  I took another piece of the dotted lace trim and tied it around her waist. The tag with the sentiment came from the SEI paper stack and I placed it on the  layer and then using pop dots placed the girl on my card.

The girl with gown die is from the Gina Marie Designs line.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed my card this week. Hope to see you in the challenge!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

Winter Scene

Hello and welcome to my blog. Can you believe it’s only a few days until Christmas and its 60 degrees! I’m loving this weather but also a little sad that we will not have a white christmas.

Today I wanted to share my Christmas cards I made for this year

I started with a Real Red card base.  The next two layers are Basic Black and Kraft cardstock. I used a scalloped oval framelit and cut the black layer and then used a regular oval framelit and cut the Kraft layer. Next on a piece of Whisper White I stamped the scene from the Stampendous set called Snowy Postcard and then used my red wink of Stella pen to color the barn and Clear Stickles to accent the snow. Now I layered all three pieces together and placed on my card base. I stamped the pine cones from the set Ornamental Pine and die cut them with the matching die from Dies by Dave. The pine cone die cut is from Gina Marie Designs. To finish I stamped the sentiment on the lower left.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed my card. I hope you and your families have a Merry Christmas!!!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

SIP Challenge #27 Thank You Cards

Good morning! I hope everyone is enjoying this unseasonably warm weather I know I am! It’s Tuesday and that means we have another challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper

This week our inspiration is Thank You cards

SIP Challenege #27

This is what I created from the inspiration

Another Thank You

I started my card with a Coastal Cabana card base.  I embossed the card front with the SU Holiday Frame embossing folder.  Next I took a piece of Whisper White and cut the center out with the Window Frames collection framelits and then layered a piece of white organdy ribbon in the center and attached this piece to the card front.  Next I took the piece that was die cut and used the next smallest framelit from the window frames collection and die cut it again.  I then stamped the scribble stamp from Snuggles & Smooches in Coastal Cabana and then the Thank You sentiment in Stazon black on top of the scribble.  I placed black enamel dots on the four points of this piece and then using pop dots placed this in the center of the cut out opening on the card front.  To finish I tied a bow using the white organdy ribbon and placed it at the top of the die cut.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have been inspired to play along with us this week.

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

OSAT Thank You Blog Hop

OSAT BH banner

Good morning and welcome to my blog.  Today I am over at the OSAT Thank You Blog Hop.  This month our theme is “Thank You”.

Here is what I made for this theme

Penny Black Snow Dust Thanks

I just recently purchased this stamp by Penny Black and wanted to use it for my card. I started with a Whisper White card base.  Next I took a piece of Tim Holtz glossy paper and sponged the following colors from top to bottom: Marina Mist, YoYo Yellow. Real Red, Basic Black, Going Gray and Old Olive.  Next I stamped the tree image in Stazon black and then highlighted the snow dust with a gelly roll glitter pen.  For the frame I used my MFT rectangle dies to create a bordering frame.  To finish I stamped the sentiment from Another Thank You on the bottom right of the frame.

For my project I made Candy Poppers

Candy Poppers

To make these I used a piece of Kraft cardstock measuring 5 1/2 X 8 and stamped the Hardwood background stamp to cover it completely.  Next I cut 1/2 notches along the 8 inch side on both sides.  Now you roll the paper on the 5 1/2 inch side until it’s completely rolled up.  Using a hot glue gun glue the long side down to secure your roll and then starting with either end fold your notches in glueing as you go until all notches are folded and glued.  Now fill your popper with candy and then repeat the same steps to close this end.  To finish mine I stamped the sentiment from Sassy Salutations on a piece of Kraft cardstock and then punched out using the Dog Tag punch.  I glued that down to a piece of textured brown cardstock and fussy cut to create a border.  Next I punched a hole and used a piece of twine to thread through the hole and wrap around my 3 poppers.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed my creations this month.  Take a few minutes and hop along and see what everyone has created this month! Next in the hop is Maggie and you can click the link below to get to her blog

SIP Sketch Challenge #26

Good Morning! Can you believe we are less than 3 weeks away from Christmas!! I am still working on Christmas cards so I wanted to share my card with you today for our challenge this week over at Stamp Ink Paper.

This week we have a sketch challenge for you

SIP Sketch Challenge #26

This is what I came up with for the challenge

Frosty Friends

I started with a Whisper White card base and then cut another strip of whisper white and stamped the trees from Lovely As A Tree.  Next I sponged Wisteria Wonder, Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade and YoYo Yellow at the tree base line to create a sunset and then sponged Marina Mist at the top for the sky.  Next on another piece of paper I stamped the image from Frosty Friends and colored in the image with my Stampin Write markers and then fussy cut the snowmen and popped them on top of the piece with the trees and sunset and then mounted this piece on top of a piece of Pacific Point.  Using a price of the Season of Cheer dsp I cut 2 small flags and then cut a larger flag out of burlap and layered these underneath the pacific point layer and then mounted this to my card base.  I used distress Stickles to outline the pacific point layer on the top and bottom.  To finish I stamped the sentiment from the set More Merry Messages on whisper white and fussy cut around it and attached to a piece of Pacific Point and fussy cut that to match.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card this week.  I hope you can play along with us this week for our sketch challenge!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

SIP Challenge #25 Card Makers Choice

Good morning! I had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope you all did too! It’s Tuesday again and that means we have another challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week our challenge is a card makers choice. Who doesn’t love that kind of freedem!

SIP Challenge #25

This is what I came up with

Festive Wreath

I started with a Real Red card base and then a layer of basic black. Next I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the tree in Old Olive from Lovely As A Tree twice, one higher than the other. I then sponged Marina Mist on the upper portion to create a sky and then embossed this using the Softly Falling folder. Next I die cut the lamp post using a die from Gina and then I stamped the wreath from Festive Fireplace in Old Olive and die cut it with the matching dies. I hung the wreath from the lamp post and glued it down to the left side of the cardstock. Next I die cut the fence on Kraft cardstock and distressed in Vintage Photo ink, I don’t have the packaging anymore so I’m not sure of the manufacturer.  I placed the fence at the bottom and then added the merry sentiment that I die cut in red vellum and whisper white layered from the Christmas Greetings thinlets. To finish my card I colored the area behind the lamp with yellow and made a small bow using the Poppy Parade stitched poly ribbon and placed it in the middle of the wreath.

I hope you have enjoyed my card this week. Come play along with us this week! I can’t wait to see what everyone creates!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂
