SIP Challenge #50 – Sketch

Good morning! I hope you all had a safe and happy holiday weekend. It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week we have a fun sketch for you

SIP Challenge #50 -Sketch

I decided to use this sketch for the card I made for my boyfriend thanking him for his service he spent in the Army.  I would also like to thank all service men and women who are currently serving and those who have served in the past.  Here is the card I made

For Your Country

I started with a Mossy Meadow card base.  The next layer I created by using a panel of Whisper White stamped with the World Map background stamp and then distressed with Tim Holtz Vintgae Photo ink.  Next I die cut a stitched circle in Whisper White and sponged starting at the bottom with Mossy Meadow, YoYo Yellow and then Pumpkin Pie and then stamped the image from For Your Country in Stazon Black ink.  To finish I stamped the tags from the same set in Stazon Black onto Kraft Cardstock and fussy cut the image and then stamped the sentiment on white and cut the words separately and placed in the tags and tucked this piece behind the main image.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed my card this week.

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

SIP Color Challenge#48

Good morning! I hope your week has been off to a good start. It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week is a color challenge and here is your inspirationSIP Color Challenge #48

I had so much fun creating with these colors. I have seen so many awesome shaker cards lately I decided I wanted to make one for this challenge.  Here is what I created

By The Tide

I don’t make many square cards and I’m not sure why because I really do love them! So for this card I started with a SU Chocolate Chip card base.  Next using my square stitched dies from Gina Marie I made my window border and then attached a piece of acetate to the backside covering the entire area.  Now I took a piece of SU Whisper White and stamped the reef image from the SU set By The Tide and then sponged Calypso Coral around the reef and Pool Party around the rest of the piece.  Next I stamped the seahorse from the same set and the sentiment from the SU set Wetlands.  To make this a shaker card I used foam mounting tape and placed it completely around the border of my stamped piece and then added sequins chunky glitter in the center then removed the backing from the mounting tape and placed the stitched border on top and pressed over all the edges to secure it to the mounting tape.  To finish I stamped the seashell from the set By The Tide in Chocolate Chip and then die cut it using my Dies by Dave die and sponged it with Calypso Coral ink and added it to my card front using dimensionals and then added my finished card front to my card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope you can join us this week to play with these great colors!

Until next time

Happy crafting 🙂

SIP Challenge #47 – One Element Wonder

Good morning! First I would like to say that I hope all you mothers out here in the blogging world had a wonderful Mothers Day. It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.

This is our inspiration

SIP Challenge #47 One Wonder Element

For this challenge I wanted to use a new set I just purchased from SU called Picture Perfect. Here’s what I created

Picture Perfect

I started with a Tenpting Turquoise card base and then added a layer of Basic Black.  Next I took a piece of watercolor paper and using a water brush flicked Tempting Turquoise and Pool Party randomly on it and then added some black specks using a black Wink of Stella pen.  Next on a piece of scrap white paper I stamped the hummingbird, first in Pool Party then Tempting Turquoise and the final layer in Stazon black.  I fussy cut this image and added it to my card using dimensionals.  To finish I stamped the sentiments from the same set in Stazon black, Tempting Turquoise and Pool Party and cut the words out individually and backed them on black cardstock and added to my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my card this week and have been inspired to play along with us for this challenge.

Until next time

Happy crafting 🙂

SIP Challenge #46 Tic-Tac-Toe

Good morning!  It’s Tuesday and I’m here to share my card for our challenge this week over  at Stamp Ink Paper .  This week we have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge

SIP Challenge #46 Tic-Tac-Toe

And here is the card I created

Rose Wonder

When the Rose Wonder bundle first came out with the Stampin Up Occasion catalog I seen a card made with this design and I absolutely loved it and knew I wanted to try it! So when I first seen the Tic-Tac-Toe choices for our challenge I knew this was what I was going to make.  At first sight it looks like a standard A2 card but it’s not.  This card actually has a large pull out tag! Here is the front of the tag

Rose Wonder

And here is the back

Rose Wonder

How cool is that!  I love tag cards! And this one is so easy to make.

I started with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Basic Black Cardstock.  Next I cut another piece of black at 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 and then cut 2 pieces of Whisper White at 4 x 5 1/4.  Next I stamped the Rose image on one of the white pieces and attached to the smaller black panel and then stamped the leaves and sentiment on the other white piece and attached it to the back of the smaller black panel.  Now I used my Zig Clean Color markers and a water brush and colored in the images.  After I finished coloring I punched a ribbon hole at the top of this panel and added a piece of ribbon for the tag pull.  Next I die cut the Rose image in basic black cardstock.  Now I took the smaller finished panel and laid it on the larger black panel and centered it and used a paper clip to hold it in place and then took the Rose die cut and placed it on top of the stamped and colored image and when it was perfectly lined up I then folded the three edges that were hanging over and using tombow glued them down of the back side.  And there is your holder for your tag! To finish I die cut the tag from the bundle in black and a scalloped oval in white and stamped the sentiment and added this to the panel.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you get the chance to play along with us this week! I can’t wait to see what you all will make!

Until next time

Happy crafting 🙂
