Fabulous Florals

Good morning! Today I wanted to share a couple things. First this is my second day as a Growing In Unity girl and it’s also our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper. This week is all about flowers. Here is the inspiration

For my card I wanted to use the beautiful flower from the Unity June Kit of the Month. Here is my card I created

I started with a Pumkin Pie card base and then added a layer of graph paper that I coffee died and then a layer of Basic Black and then the top layer of a typeset dsp.  Next I stamped the flower using versamark onto watercolor paper and embossed with black power. Using my Tim Holtz inks and a water brush I Watercolored the flower and leaves. After that dried I fussy cut and adhered to my card using dimensionals. To finish I stamped the sentiment and added water drops to the flower and leaves using nuvo drops.

Would You Be Mine

Good morning! I hope you have had the nice break in the weather that we have. I know it will be be short lived but I am loving it! Today I wanted to share my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper this week. This challenge is all about Natural Elements and here is the inspiration

The possibilities are endless with this theme. I tossed with the ideas of burlap, wood or a water scene and finally decided with wood. I recently purchased the tree ring stamp from Concord and 9th and wanted to use it for my card. Here is what I created

I started with a Basic Black card base and then added a layer of Whisper White that I splattered with red and brown using Wink of Stella pens. Next I took the tree ring and stamped it with StaZon onto watercolor paper and then colored it using my watercolor brush and Tim Holtz vintage photo ink.  After that dried I fussy cut the image and cut the heart out in the center using a framelit die from Gina Marie designs and then added a piece of red cardstock on the back.  I then die cut a black arrow using my Little B die and cut it in 2 pieces and added it to the tree ring on the edges of the heart center and added this piece to the card. To finish I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin Up set Would You Be Mine in the lower right.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

SIP Challenge #47 – One Element Wonder

Good morning! First I would like to say that I hope all you mothers out here in the blogging world had a wonderful Mothers Day. It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.

This is our inspiration

SIP Challenge #47 One Wonder Element

For this challenge I wanted to use a new set I just purchased from SU called Picture Perfect. Here’s what I created

Picture Perfect

I started with a Tenpting Turquoise card base and then added a layer of Basic Black.  Next I took a piece of watercolor paper and using a water brush flicked Tempting Turquoise and Pool Party randomly on it and then added some black specks using a black Wink of Stella pen.  Next on a piece of scrap white paper I stamped the hummingbird, first in Pool Party then Tempting Turquoise and the final layer in Stazon black.  I fussy cut this image and added it to my card using dimensionals.  To finish I stamped the sentiments from the same set in Stazon black, Tempting Turquoise and Pool Party and cut the words out individually and backed them on black cardstock and added to my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my card this week and have been inspired to play along with us for this challenge.

Until next time

SIP Inspiration Challenge #44

Good morning!  What a gorgeous day we had yesterday.  Hope yours was just as beautiful. It’s Tuesday and that means we have another challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week we have a Nautical theme for inspiration

SIP Nautical Inspiration Challenge #44

Here is what I created from this inspiration

By The Tide

I was inspired by a card I seen on Pinterest and wanted to use the SU set By The Tide which will be retiring when the new catalog comes out.

I started with a Pumpkin Pie card base.  The next layer is Lucky Limeade and then a layer of Marina Mist that I stamped the Hardwood background stamp in Stazon black ink and then distressed the edges in black.  I distressed a piece of  cheesecloth with TH Vintage Photo ink and then wrapped it around these two layers and then attached to my card base.  Next I die cut 3 layered circles using my framelits from MFT, the largest in Lucky Limeade, the middle in Basic Black and the smallest in Whisper White.  On the white circle I inked it with Soft Sky and Marina Mist using a direct to paper technique and then stamped the reef in both Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze.  Now I layered all three together and added a clear window on top of the smallest circle and then attached these to the card front.  I used my copper pearl pen and created the rivets on the largest circle.  Next I stamped the fish, lobster and shell on watercolor paper using Stazon black ink and then die cut them using DiesbyDave framelits. Using a blender pen and the following colors, Pool Party, Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Lucky Limeade I colored in all the images.  After they were completely dry I used Glossy Accents on them and then allowed that to dry and added them to my card front using dimensionals.  To finish I stamped the sentiments from the set By The Sea Sentiments from MSE on Pumpkin Pie Cardstock and fussy cut them and added to the front using dimensionals.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you have enjoyed my card this week and have been inspired to play along with us!

Until next time

SIP Sketch Challenge #43

Good morning!  I hope you are enjoying this rainy spring day. It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week our inspiration for you comes from a fun sketch

SIP Sketch Challenge #43

Here is what I created using this sketch

Stampin Up Traveler Birthday

I started with a Coastal Cabana card base and then a layer of Real Red. The next layer is a piece of Kraft Cardstock that I stamped with the Old World Map by Stampin Up (1998) in Stazon black ink. For my main image I used a piece of watercolor paper. I stamped the ship from the set Traverlers directly on the paper and then again on a piece of acetate, which I used to transfer the reflection image. I watercolored the water scene using Coastal Cabana ink and a water brush.  I used my Real Red marker to accent the boat. To finish I cut flag banners from Coastal Cabana and Real Red Cardstock and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the set Guy Greeetings and added some of my homemade enamel dots.

I am also entering my card into the challenge this week over at RetroRubber Challenge blog for their April showers challenge.  You can see the challenge here http://www.retrorubberchallengeblog.com/my-blog/2016/04/challenge-36-april-showers.html

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you have enjoyed my card this week and feel inspired to play along with us for this fun Sketch Challenge.

SIP Sketch Challenge #39

Good morning! It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper. This week our inspiration comes from a sketch

SIP Sketch Challenge #39

Here is what I created from this Sketch

Gorjuss Girl The White Rabbit

I started my card with a Marina Mist card base.  The next two layers are papers from Santoro and then I added a burlap flag banner.  For the next layer I used a piece of watercolor paper and Tim Holtz distress stains Seedless Preserves, Peeeled Paint and Broken China  and created the background and then stamped the flowers from  a DoCraft set in Stazon black ink and then placed that piece on top of the burlap flag. Next I stamped the Gorjuss girl, The White Rabbit, in Stazon black on a piece of watercolor paper and colored her using distress stains and then fussy cut and placed on the background using pop dots.  To finish I stamped the sentiment Hello Love from the set Good Greetings.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my card this week and have been inspired to come play along with us!

Until next time
