Let It Snow

Good morning! Are you ready for a new challenge? To kick of December we have a Let It Snow challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.

Stamp Ink Paper Let It Snow Challenge #128

First I have some exciting news! I was contacted by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps and asked if I would like to design for them. I happily accepted!! For this challenge I used one of the stamps I received from them.

Let It Snow

I started with a Whisper White card base and then added a layer of Night of Navy followed with another layer of Whisper White that I wrapped a piece of Night of Navy Seam binding with. For the panels I stamped the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps tree image on a piece of Whisper White using Old Olive Ink. I then cut the image into 3 panels of equal size and backed each onto panels of Night of Navy. I attached the panels to my card front. Next I applied Glossy Accents to the tree baseline of each panel and then sprinkled iridescent ice. I then tapped off the excess and let this dry. When I tapped off the excess iridescent ice it left a light layer over the whole card front which ended up being a happy accident! As hard as I tried I could not get a picture that showed the shimmer but in person it’s really beautiful. To finish I stamped the sentiment on the lower right.

If you haven’t ever checked out Blue Knight Rubber Stamps head on over and see all the beautiful stamps they have!

Thinking of You

Good morning! Today I’m sharing my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper. We have a fun fall color challenge for you to play along with

Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #125 Colors

And here is my card I created

Thinking of You

I started with a Kraft card base. Next I used another layer of kraft that I die cut with the Lawn Fawn stitched wood grain background die and then sponged all over with Early Espresso Ink and then die cut a circle out of the middle. For the layer behind this I used a piece of white cardstock and masked the moon off with a 1 inch circle and then sponged with Yo Yo Yellow and Really Rust inks. I then stamped the birds using a Stampscapes stamp in Stazon black ink. For the grass border I die cut using the Memory Box Green Pasture die in white cardstock and sponged with Old Olive Ink and then added at the bottom. I attached this piece behind the wood grain and then layered these onto my card base. To finish I stamped the sentiment on a piece of kraft and flagged one end with a punch and then sponged the edges with Early Espresso and added to my card using dimensionals.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Girls Night Out

Good morning! Today starts our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  Who’s ready for a Girls Night Out?? Me me me!!! Well that’s the theme for our challenge this week!

And this is what I created

This card was so much fun to make! I started with a Watermelon Wonder card base and then added two layers of dsp from a MME paper pad. For the main layer I stamped the Unity girl, from the Drink & Cuss set, onto Crafters Companion cardstock and colored her skin and hair in with my copics. Next I stamped the dress parts of her on scraps of the matching dsp and fussy cut them and glued down on the colored image. For the glass I stamped the image, from the same Unity set, on white cardstock and colored in with pink up to the word wine and then applied Glossy Accents over the whole image. After that dried I fussy cut it and added to my card using dimensionals. To finish I added some bling.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Tis The Season

Good morning! Today I am sharing my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week we have a fun Sketch challenge for you to play along with

And here is the card I created

I started with a Cumcunber Crush card base and then a layer of Whisper White embossed with the SU Softly Falling embossing folder. Next I used a piece of plaid dsp from Lawn Fawn and then layered a scalloped circle in Poppy Parade cardstock. For the inside layer on the scalloped circle I die cut a stitched round circle and stamped the candles image using the SU set Merry Medley, first in black ink and then the inside candle pieces in Cucumber Crush and Poppy Parade. I colored the flames with a copic marker. To finish I stamped the sentiment from the Merry Medley set in black ink onto a piece of Whisper White and then stamped the inside part of the Season sentiment with Poppy Parade. I snipped the edges to make flag ends and sponged the outer edges with Cucumber Crush Ink.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope that you can play along with us this week for our Sketch Challenge.

Until next time

The Best Is Yet To Come

Good morning! I hope you are having a fabulous day. The beautiful fall weather has finally kicked in here on the East Coast and I am loving it.

Today I wanted to share my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  We have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for you to play along with this week

Here is what I created

I got my new SU goodies in the mail and couldn’t wait to play with them!

I started with a Mossy Meadow Card base and then added a another layer of Mossy Meadow embossed using the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Embossing Folders. Oh my gosh this is my favorite folder right now!! Next I die cut the circle with Whisper White and stamped the sunflower from the Painted Harvest set in 2 steps using Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze and the center in Chocolate Chip. I stamped the sentiments using the set Balloon Adventures and then threaded a piece of orange twine through one of the holes and glued on the backside and then added this piece to my card using dimensionals. The leaves were stamped using the Painted Harvest set with Old Olive and Garden Green inks and then punched out with the coordinating Leaf Punch. I tucked the leaves in behind the circle using Tombow glue to adhere them. Super easy card!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Winter Is Calling!

Good morning!  Fall is in the air and I am loving it! Fall is definitely my favorite season. What is your favorite season?

Today I am sharing my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week it’s a Card Makers Choice Challenge.  How fun is that!!

I was recently gifted some handmade paper by my friend Pattie Oisten and wanted to create my card using it. Here is what I created

I started with a Lucky Limeade Card base and then a layer of Early Espresso. For the main layer I used a piece of kraft cardstock. I stamped the log cabin, from Rubberneckers, using early espresso Ink. I added the smoke from the chimney using my white primsa colored pencil and then distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.  Next I die cut the landscape with trees using the memory box die Golf Club Landscape and snipped off the golf club image, leaving just the trees. I then inked the whole piece with versa mark and embossed with ultra thick embossing powder. After that cooled I used my white colored pencil and added touches of snow and then added this to my card right below the log cabin. Next I took the handmade paper and my stitched hill dies, purchased from eBay, and cut 3 layers of hills and added them to my card. If you look closely the Paper has added elements of glitter and tinsel which makes it really resemble snowy hills. I then cut more of the landscape with trees and snipped them apart and tucked them in behind the hills. To finish I stamped the sentiment from the SU set Winter Is Calling on early espresso cardstock and heat embossed in white and added to the bottom using dimensionals.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Love The Simple Things

Good morning! I hope you had a good weekend. A few of my girlfriends and myself went to a stamp show in Westminster MD. I love going to these events and learning about new companies and their products. One of the companies I came across was Technique Junkies and oh my was I so excited!! Their stamps are amazing and priced so well.

We have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper this week.  The inspiration is Watercolor

I was excited to use one of the background stamps I purchased from the Technique Junkies booth at the stamp show! Here is the card I created

I started my card with a Basic Black card base and then added layers of Only Orange and Basic Black. For the main layer I used a piece of Canson Watercolor cardstock and stamped the Technique Junkies Poppies background Stamp in Stazon black ink. I watercolored the whole background using Tim Holtz Scattered Straw and then highlighted the flowers with Ripe Persimmon and Abandoned Coral. After that dried I applied distress Stickles to the flower centers. While that was drying I stamped the sentiment from the Unity set Head Up-Heart Strong on a piece of white cardstock and then backed that on a piece of black cardstock and added to my card using dimensionals.

Needless to say I am now addicted to Technique Junkies stamps!! If you haven’t ever seen them go check it out here http://techniquejunkies.com/

Thank you for stopping by today!

Until next time
