SIP Challenge #52 - Card Makers Choice

For this challenge I choose to use 2 stamp sets that were recently gifted to me by 2 very special stamping friends. Here is what I created

Happy Birthday

I started my card with a Whisper White card base and then a layer of Melon Mambo.  Next I took a piece of watercolor paper and stamped the image from the set Blooming Garden by Penny Black in Stazon black and then watercolored using my Zig Clean Brush markers.  To finish I stamped the sentiment from the set Cake and Candles by Avery Elle in Stazon black on a piece of Whisper White and then layered that on a piece of Regal Rose and attached to my card.

I would like to give a shout out to Lisa Jones for the gorgeous Penny Black set! I can’t wait to skype with you and Sharon so we can learn to watercolor like she does!! I also want to shout out to Lorri Nichols for the awesome Avery Elle set! I love love all the fonts in this set.  This set will get so much use!! You ladies rock and are such an inspiration to me 🙂

SIP Challenge #41 Weddings

Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful Easter holiday. This is such a beautiful time of the year. Everything is blooming, especially the Cherry Blossoms right now. Ok down to business lol!

It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  And here is your inspiration

SIP Challenge #41 Weddings

I love making wedding cards! It’s such a happy and exciting event in someone’s life.  Here is the card I made

Your Perfect Day

I started with a Whisper White card base and then another layer of white embossed with the Script folder from Cuttlebug.  Next I die cut the image in white using the die from the Bloomin Love bundle and accented with layered flowers and rhinestones.  I added this to the embossed layer using pop dots.  To finish I wrapped a piece of ribbon around the bottom of this layer and stamped the sentiment from the set Your Perfect Day in Stazon black directly on the ribbon and then added a bow using the same ribbon and then attached this to the card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my card this week and I can’t wait to see what you create for this challenge.

Until next time

Happy crafting 🙂

SIP Tic Tac Toe Challenge #40

Good morning!  It’s Tuesday and that means we have another challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper. The challenge this week is a Tic Tac Toe choice and here’s your inspiration SIP Challenge #40

For my card I choose the Anniversary, sequins and gold. I switched the silver for gold because I made my card for my parents who just celebrated their 50th anniversary on Sunday. Here is my card

Happy 50th Anniversary

I decided to make an easel card for my parents anniversary. I used Whisper White and the Window Framelits collection. I then layered gold foil and then another layer that I embossed with the Lacy Brocade folder.  I die cut the numbers in gold foil using my Sizzix dies.  To finish I added the white bow and some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you are inspired to play along with us this week!

Until next time

SIP Challenge #37 Wood, Cork, Felt

Good morning!  It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper. This week is all about natural elements! Here is the inspiration

SIP Challenge #37 Wood, Cork, Felt

I don’t know about you but I love using natural elements on my cards! I choose to use cork and felt. This is what I created

Thinking of You

I started with a Midnight Muse card base.  Next I made a mask for the moon from a sticky note using a 3/4 circle punch.  Now I cut a layer of Whisper White and placed the moon mask in the upper right hand side and sponged around the mask with YoYo Yellow and Pumpkin Pie.  To create the blue sky background I sponged starting in the center with Marina Mist and then further out with Pacific Point and then in the outer edges with Midnight Muse and then I added this layer to my card base.  Next I die cut the trees from adhesive backed cork and then placed that on top of the sponged layer. Now I die cut the deers from Basic Black cardstock and tucked them behind the trees and then die cut the birds out of red felt material and adhered them in the trees.  To finish I stamped the sentiment from the set Moon Lake on to Whisper White and fussy cut and adhered it to a piece of black felt and attached to my card.

All of the dies I used in my card are from Gina Marie and you can find them here http://wholesalecraftingsupplies.com/t/-gina-marie-designs-?page=1

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have enjoyed my card this week and feel inspired to play along with us.

Until next time

SIP#34 Love Challenge

Good morning! We are getting more of that white stuff here in Virginia this morning and we still have some from that massive storm we got a little over 2 weeks ago! Ok on to more happy things

It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week our inspiration is Love

SIP #34 Love Challenge

Here is what I created

Love Is In The Air

I started my card with a Real Red card base.  The next layer is a piece of Whisper White embossed with the Square Lattice emvossing folder and a piece of real red ribbon wrapped around the middle.  Next I die cut 3 hearts from the SU heart framelits.  On the largest heart I stamped the En Francais background stamp in Real Red ink, the middle heart I embossed with the Square Lattice folder and the smallest heart I stamped the image from the set Take It To Heart in Real Red ink.  I layered all the hearts and attached them to my card and then placed a bow I made with the Real Red ribbon to the left of the hearts.  To finish I stamped the banner in Real Red ink from the new set called Bloomin Love and then stamped the sentiment (masking off the heart) inside the banner.  I fussy cut the finished banner and using pop dots placed it on my card in the lower left side and then using the mini heart punch cut a heart out of a piece of Real Red cardstock and placed it right above the banner.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card today.  If you feel inspired please go to Stamp Ink Paper and enter your creation. I would love to see what you create!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

You Are Awesome

Hello! I’m camped out in my craft room today because it’s too cold to do anything outside! Lol I got spoiled with that incredibly warm December we had here in Virginia.

I wanted to share one of the cards I made today

I started with a Whisper White card base and then I have a piece of Gumball Green and a piece of the Tea for Two dsp with a piece of Pear Pizzazz ribbon wrapped around those two layers and then adhered to the card base. The next four layers are cut using a die set from Gina Steimel called a Leafy Frame. You can find the dies here in her album on the Facebook group https://m.facebook.com/groups/1090253147653827?tsid=0.8369815435726196&source=typeahead

I cut all four layers from the die set in Whisper White. I colored the leafy border from the two layers with a green marker and once the ink was dry I covered the leaves in Crystal Effects and set aside to dry. The two layers that are layered inside of the leafy frames I distressed with green ink and on the smallest top layer I stamped my sentiment from Painted Petals with Stazon black. Once everything was dry I layered all the pieces together using pop dots and then placed on top of the dsp layer using pop dots as well. To finish I used the flower and vine dies from the set and cut pieces from a scrap piece of the dsp and placed those on the frame.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card. If you would like to join the Facebook group and share your creations we would love to have you there!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

SIP #29 Sketch Challenge

Good morning! Can you believe it’s the start of a new year already?? To start the new year we have a sketch challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper. Here’s the sketch inspiration

SIP #29 Sketch Challenge

And here is what I came up with

I started with a Whisper White card base. I then cut the three flags from the SU dsp called Tea for Two and distressed the edges with Tim Holtz vintage photo ink and then placed them on my card base. Next I cut the the lacy oval in Coastal Cabana and popped it on the top over the flags and then cut another piece from the same dsp with a MFT stitched oval die and distressed it with Vintage Photo ink and placed it inside the lacy oval cut. Next I die cut the flourish in Whisper White and placed it in the center of the ovals. The sentiment is from SU Teeny Tiny Wishes and I stamped it on white and distressed with Vintage Photo ink and placed it on the inside to the right of the ovals. To finish I used the SU Beautiful Wings embosslit and cut the butterflies from the same dsp and placed the large butterfly on top of the flourish and the three smaller butterflies trailing up from the bottom of the card base up to the ovals. I used some perfect pearls to embellish the large butterfly.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed my card for the sketch challenge.

I hope you can play along with us this week!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂
