Adventure

Good morning! First I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year! Do you have any crafty new year goals? My goals for this year is to make and send at least 10 birthday cards a month. I also want to make at least 5 Christmas cards a month so I will be finished and ready to mail them all by the beginning of December. So to start this year off I have made a masculine birthday card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper. Our first challenge for 2018 is all about embossing. Here is the inspiration

Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #131 Emboss It!I love all the different ways you can use embossing but for my card today I chose an embossing folder. Here is what I created

Adventure

I started with a kraft card base and added a layer of Basic black. For the next layer I used a piece of kraft and embossed using the Tim Holtz Travel Signs folder and then distressed the embossed portions with Vintage Photo ink and added this layer on top of the black. Next I embossed a piece of silver foil paper with the folder and die cut the center with a circle framelit and adhered this on top of the kraft embossed layer lining up the words. I used black soot ink and distressed the foil layer. To finish my card I stamped the train image by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps, and colored in using my copics and then fussy cut and added to my card front using dimensionals.

You can find the train stamp here http://blueknightrubberstamps.com/antique-train/.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

SIP #30 Color Challenge

Good morning! It’s Tuesday and that means we have another challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper

This week we have a color challenge for you

SIP #30 Color Challenge

This is what I created using these colors

You Suit Me To A Tea

I started with a Crumb Cake card base.  The next layer is a piece of corrugate paper from DCWV and on top of that is a doily that I stamped the SU French Script background stamp on and then tied a piece of Rose Red ribbon around and then attached those layers to the card base.  Next I die cut the tea cups with the Tim Holtz Tea Time die.  The top cup was cut with Whisper White and then I took the Rose Red ink pad and swiped it across the cup and then sponged Vintage Photo across it to fill in the white spaces that were left.  The middle cup is cut from Crumb Cake and stamped with the French Script stamp.  The bottom cup was cut with Whisper White and then embossed with gold embossing powder.  To finish I hung the little tag with a flower from the top cup and added the sentiment from SU Tea Shoppe to the bottom cup.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card today and are inspired to come play along with us this week!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂
