The Best Is Yet To Come

Good morning! I hope you are having a fabulous day. The beautiful fall weather has finally kicked in here on the East Coast and I am loving it.

Today I wanted to share my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  We have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for you to play along with this week

Here is what I created

I got my new SU goodies in the mail and couldn’t wait to play with them!

I started with a Mossy Meadow Card base and then added a another layer of Mossy Meadow embossed using the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Embossing Folders. Oh my gosh this is my favorite folder right now!! Next I die cut the circle with Whisper White and stamped the sunflower from the Painted Harvest set in 2 steps using Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze and the center in Chocolate Chip. I stamped the sentiments using the set Balloon Adventures and then threaded a piece of orange twine through one of the holes and glued on the backside and then added this piece to my card using dimensionals. The leaves were stamped using the Painted Harvest set with Old Olive and Garden Green inks and then punched out with the coordinating Leaf Punch. I tucked the leaves in behind the circle using Tombow glue to adhere them. Super easy card!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Winter Is Calling!

Good morning!  Fall is in the air and I am loving it! Fall is definitely my favorite season. What is your favorite season?

Today I am sharing my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week it’s a Card Makers Choice Challenge.  How fun is that!!

I was recently gifted some handmade paper by my friend Pattie Oisten and wanted to create my card using it. Here is what I created

I started with a Lucky Limeade Card base and then a layer of Early Espresso. For the main layer I used a piece of kraft cardstock. I stamped the log cabin, from Rubberneckers, using early espresso Ink. I added the smoke from the chimney using my white primsa colored pencil and then distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.  Next I die cut the landscape with trees using the memory box die Golf Club Landscape and snipped off the golf club image, leaving just the trees. I then inked the whole piece with versa mark and embossed with ultra thick embossing powder. After that cooled I used my white colored pencil and added touches of snow and then added this to my card right below the log cabin. Next I took the handmade paper and my stitched hill dies, purchased from eBay, and cut 3 layers of hills and added them to my card. If you look closely the Paper has added elements of glitter and tinsel which makes it really resemble snowy hills. I then cut more of the landscape with trees and snipped them apart and tucked them in behind the hills. To finish I stamped the sentiment from the SU set Winter Is Calling on early espresso cardstock and heat embossed in white and added to the bottom using dimensionals.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Create Your Own Ending

Good morning! I am trying to get back into the swing of things after an amazing weekend with some crafty friends. We rented a cabin in Berkeley Springs WV for a crop retreat this past Thursday through Sunday. We had such a good time and alas it’s back to reality hehe!! Today I wanted to share my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper. This week we have a Travel theme challenge

This is what I created

I started with a Crushed Curry card base and then a layer of Emerald Envy. The next layer i took a piece of Whisper White and embossed with the Tim Holtz globe folder and then sponged with Vintage Photo ink. For the main layer I used a piece of SU Christmas DSP and a strip of Emerald Envy that I stamped the train from the SU set Traveler and then wrapped some twine on the left side.  After attaching these layers I used my black Nuvo drops and added dots to the upper right and lower left. While those were drying I stamped the little passport image from Traveler and fussy cut then sponged with Vintage Photo ink and then folded in half and attached by sliding the backside underneath the twine and used pop dots on the inside. Next I stamped the sentiment from Brutus Monroe and inked the edges and attached using dimensionals. I propped my card up in one of the windows in the cabin we stayed out to get the beautiful outdoor background.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Your Are Now A Classic

Good morning!  Today I am sharing my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week we have a Sketch challenge for you

Here is what I created

I started with a Tempting Turquoise card base and then a layer of Basic Black. For the next layer I used a piece of Whisper white that I stamped with a SU background stamp called Ephimera. For the main layer I stamped the car with the Unity set For The Guys in Stazon black ink and then clear embossed. I distressed the edges and then backed it on another piece of Basic Black and added to my card using dimensionals. To finish I stamped the sentiment, from the Unity set, on white cardstock and then fussy cut and backed it on black cardstock and fussy cut again and added it to the lower right using dimensionals. This was a super quick and fun card to create.

The Light You Shine

Good morning! I wanted to share my card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper. This week our challenge is all about summer. Here is the inspiration

Here is what I created

I decided to break open my SU set High Tide and create with it. I found some inspiration from a card on Pinterest. My card base is Whisper White and the next layer is started with Whisper White and then sponged the sky using Pacific Point and the sand using Sahara Sand and stamped the sand with Baked Brown Sugar. For the next layer I die cut the sun rays using the SU Thinlet and sponged with YoYo Yellow and added on top of the sky and sand layer and stamped the birds in the upper right hand side. Next I die cut a smaller stitched rectangle and sponged with Pacific Point and then stamped the sentiment on the right and the birds on the left and added this on top of the sun rays. To finish I stamped the lighthouse using my Misti and inks, Real Red and Stazon black. After stamping I fussy cut the lighthouse and added to the layer with the sentiment using pop dots.

Special Day

Good morning! I wanted to share with you today the card I created for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week we have a fun Sketch for you

Here is what I created using this Sketch

I started with a Whisper White card base and then added a layer of black that I die cut using Gina Marie’s rectangle dotted stud dies and then a layer of Coastal Cabana recessed in the black layer.  Next I die cut the black circle using the circle dotted stud dies. For the inside of the black circle I die cut a piece of the SU Inside The Lines dsp and colored the flower with the coastal cabana blendabilities and the leaves with copics. I then die cut the bumble bee in black cardstock and popped him on the side of the flower. I then layered this piece on top the black circle and added to my card on the lower left side. Next I stamped the sentiment from SU Dragonfly Dreams above the circle on the coastal cabana layer. To finish I die cut the dragonflies from the coordinating thinlets and used Inka Gold Metallic rubs to color them and then added them above the main image.
