SIP Challenge #70 Tic-Tac-Toe

Good morning! It is so beautiful today here on the east coast! Can you believe we had temps in the 80’s in October???  Well enough about the weather and on to some crafty business hehe!

We have a new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper. For this challenge it’s a fun Tic-Tac-Toe board to choose from

Here is what I created

I started with a Kiwi Kiss card base and created an easel card. I layered a piece of Pumpkin Pie to the front panel and then using one of the dies from the Leaflets Framelits set I cut out the leaf from that front panel. Next I took a piece of vellum and stamped the leaf image from the set Lighthearted Leaves in Stazon black ink and then colored in with my SU markers.  I then layered the vellum on the inside of the front panel so that the image lined up with the opening.  Nexti took a piece of Whisper White and cut with the leaf die and layered it on top of the vellum piece.  Now back to the card front, I placed a strip of burlap on the left side and then bunched some twine and finished with a corduroy button. To finish I stamped the sentiment in a piece of white and then layered it on top of a piece of Kiwi Kiss and placed on the inside panel which gives the top panel a place to rest on when opened. I added a couple sequins to the sentiment piece. When the card is displayed you can use a battery operated tea light to sit inside which will illuminate through the stamped vellum image.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Happy crafting 🙂

SIP Challenge #50 – Sketch

Good morning! I hope you all had a safe and happy holiday weekend. It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week we have a fun sketch for you

SIP Challenge #50 -Sketch

I decided to use this sketch for the card I made for my boyfriend thanking him for his service he spent in the Army.  I would also like to thank all service men and women who are currently serving and those who have served in the past.  Here is the card I made

For Your Country

I started with a Mossy Meadow card base.  The next layer I created by using a panel of Whisper White stamped with the World Map background stamp and then distressed with Tim Holtz Vintgae Photo ink.  Next I die cut a stitched circle in Whisper White and sponged starting at the bottom with Mossy Meadow, YoYo Yellow and then Pumpkin Pie and then stamped the image from For Your Country in Stazon Black ink.  To finish I stamped the tags from the same set in Stazon Black onto Kraft Cardstock and fussy cut the image and then stamped the sentiment on white and cut the words separately and placed in the tags and tucked this piece behind the main image.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed my card this week.

Until next time

SIP Inspiration Challenge #44

Good morning!  What a gorgeous day we had yesterday.  Hope yours was just as beautiful. It’s Tuesday and that means we have another challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week we have a Nautical theme for inspiration

SIP Nautical Inspiration Challenge #44

Here is what I created from this inspiration

By The Tide

I was inspired by a card I seen on Pinterest and wanted to use the SU set By The Tide which will be retiring when the new catalog comes out.

I started with a Pumpkin Pie card base.  The next layer is Lucky Limeade and then a layer of Marina Mist that I stamped the Hardwood background stamp in Stazon black ink and then distressed the edges in black.  I distressed a piece of  cheesecloth with TH Vintage Photo ink and then wrapped it around these two layers and then attached to my card base.  Next I die cut 3 layered circles using my framelits from MFT, the largest in Lucky Limeade, the middle in Basic Black and the smallest in Whisper White.  On the white circle I inked it with Soft Sky and Marina Mist using a direct to paper technique and then stamped the reef in both Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze.  Now I layered all three together and added a clear window on top of the smallest circle and then attached these to the card front.  I used my copper pearl pen and created the rivets on the largest circle.  Next I stamped the fish, lobster and shell on watercolor paper using Stazon black ink and then die cut them using DiesbyDave framelits. Using a blender pen and the following colors, Pool Party, Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Lucky Limeade I colored in all the images.  After they were completely dry I used Glossy Accents on them and then allowed that to dry and added them to my card front using dimensionals.  To finish I stamped the sentiments from the set By The Sea Sentiments from MSE on Pumpkin Pie Cardstock and fussy cut them and added to the front using dimensionals.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you have enjoyed my card this week and have been inspired to play along with us!

Until next time

SIP Challenge #37 Wood, Cork, Felt

Good morning!  It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper. This week is all about natural elements! Here is the inspiration

SIP Challenge #37 Wood, Cork, Felt

I don’t know about you but I love using natural elements on my cards! I choose to use cork and felt. This is what I created

Thinking of You

I started with a Midnight Muse card base.  Next I made a mask for the moon from a sticky note using a 3/4 circle punch.  Now I cut a layer of Whisper White and placed the moon mask in the upper right hand side and sponged around the mask with YoYo Yellow and Pumpkin Pie.  To create the blue sky background I sponged starting in the center with Marina Mist and then further out with Pacific Point and then in the outer edges with Midnight Muse and then I added this layer to my card base.  Next I die cut the trees from adhesive backed cork and then placed that on top of the sponged layer. Now I die cut the deers from Basic Black cardstock and tucked them behind the trees and then die cut the birds out of red felt material and adhered them in the trees.  To finish I stamped the sentiment from the set Moon Lake on to Whisper White and fussy cut and adhered it to a piece of black felt and attached to my card.

All of the dies I used in my card are from Gina Marie and you can find them here

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have enjoyed my card this week and feel inspired to play along with us.

Until next time

Botanical Blooms

Hello! I wanted to share a card I made with the new Botanical Blooms bundle from Stampin Up. This has to be my most favorite bundle from the Occasions catalog!

While exploring Pinterest for cards made with this bundle I came across a card made by Karen Barber that I wanted to case and this is my version.

I started with a Whisper White card base and stamped the flourish background in Blushing Bride with a Hero Arts stamp and then added a piece of Botanical Gardens dsp at the bottom. Next using the framelits I die cut the flowers in Blushing Bride, Old Olive and Punpkin Pie and the leaves in Old Olive. I coated the leaves with Glossy Accents and accented the flower stamens with a white gel pen and then added a bling to the center of each of the flowers. Next I arranged the leaves and flowers, glueing them down in the process. Next I stamped the sentiment from the set Rose Wonder in Stazon black ink in the center. To finish I added a strip of black satin ribbon at the top and then added a bow embellished with a Botanical gardens jewel.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card.

Until next time
