SIP Color Challenge #54

Good morning! It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper. This week we have an awesome color challenge.

SIP Color Challenge #54

Aren’t these the perfect summer colors! I decided to use a new set that I had not inked up yet.  Here is what I created

Beautiful Ride

I started with a Daffodil Delight card base and then added a piece of dsp that I wrapped a piece of Tangerine Tango ribbon on the left side.  Next I die cut a scalloped circle in Old Olive and then a smaller stitched circle in Whisper White.  I stamped the car and sentiment from the Stampin Up set Beautiful Ride on the white circle with Momento black ink and then colored in the car with the Tangerine Tango marker.  I layered the circles together and trimmed the right side and then added them to the card lining them up on the right side with the dsp layer.  To finish I made a bow with the Tangerine Tango ribbon and attached to the upper left side of my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed my card this week.

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

SIP Challenege #36 Card Makers Choice

Good morning! I hope you had a good weekend. We had beautiful weather with temps in the 70’s on Saturday. Come on Spring!!!

Its Tuesday and that means we have another challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week is a Card Makers Choice challenge. Don’t you just love that kind of freedom! Here is your inspiration

SIP Challenege #36 Card Makers Choice

My cards this week came from the inspiration of a card made by Maria Willis.

Rose Wonder

Rose Wonder

For both cards I used Whisper White as my card base and then a layer of Basic Black and a layer of Typeset dsp.  Next I die cut the Rose using the Rose Garden thinlet die in Basic Black cardstock and glued it down using Tombow glue.  For the top card I die cut the Rose again using red foil paper and Old Olive paper.  Using all the die cut pieces I paper pieced them into the Rose outline.  For the second card I filled the spaces in with red and green distress glitter.  To finish my cards I die cut the label in Basic Black and then stamped the sentiment, both from the Rose Wonder set, in Real Red on Whisper White and then using the small oval punch cut it out and placed it on the label and attached to the cards.

Here is a peek at the inside

Rose Wonder

Although I like them both the top is my favorite!  Thank you so much Maria for making such a beautiful card and inspiring me to create this too!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my cards and have been inspired to play along with us this week!

Until next time

Botanical Blooms

Hello! I wanted to share a card I made with the new Botanical Blooms bundle from Stampin Up. This has to be my most favorite bundle from the Occasions catalog!

While exploring Pinterest for cards made with this bundle I came across a card made by Karen Barber that I wanted to case and this is my version.

I started with a Whisper White card base and stamped the flourish background in Blushing Bride with a Hero Arts stamp and then added a piece of Botanical Gardens dsp at the bottom. Next using the framelits I die cut the flowers in Blushing Bride, Old Olive and Punpkin Pie and the leaves in Old Olive. I coated the leaves with Glossy Accents and accented the flower stamens with a white gel pen and then added a bling to the center of each of the flowers. Next I arranged the leaves and flowers, glueing them down in the process. Next I stamped the sentiment from the set Rose Wonder in Stazon black ink in the center. To finish I added a strip of black satin ribbon at the top and then added a bow embellished with a Botanical gardens jewel.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card.

Until next time

SIP Challenge #25 Card Makers Choice

Good morning! I had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope you all did too! It’s Tuesday again and that means we have another challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week our challenge is a card makers choice. Who doesn’t love that kind of freedem!

SIP Challenge #25

This is what I came up with

Festive Wreath

I started with a Real Red card base and then a layer of basic black. Next I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the tree in Old Olive from Lovely As A Tree twice, one higher than the other. I then sponged Marina Mist on the upper portion to create a sky and then embossed this using the Softly Falling folder. Next I die cut the lamp post using a die from Gina and then I stamped the wreath from Festive Fireplace in Old Olive and die cut it with the matching dies. I hung the wreath from the lamp post and glued it down to the left side of the cardstock. Next I die cut the fence on Kraft cardstock and distressed in Vintage Photo ink, I don’t have the packaging anymore so I’m not sure of the manufacturer.  I placed the fence at the bottom and then added the merry sentiment that I die cut in red vellum and whisper white layered from the Christmas Greetings thinlets. To finish my card I colored the area behind the lamp with yellow and made a small bow using the Poppy Parade stitched poly ribbon and placed it in the middle of the wreath.

I hope you have enjoyed my card this week. Come play along with us this week! I can’t wait to see what everyone creates!

Until next time
