Bunny Love

Good morning! I’m here to share our new challenge this week over at Stamp Ink Paper.  We have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for you to play along with!

I choose the middle horizontal row and this is what I came up with

One of my co-workers is battling cancer and currently doing Chemotherapy and Radiation. He is having a really rough time and a bunch of us ladies at work are putting together an Easter basket for him to help lift his spirits. I was ask to make a card for his basket.

I started with a YoYo Yellow card base and then added a layer of Kraft and then a layer of patterned paper. I Die cut the basket with Kraft paper using a Gina Marie die. I created a strip of grass using green cardstock and my Stampin Up fringe scissors and layered it behind the basket. And then Die cut 3 egg shapes and colored with my SU markers and added them in the grass.  To finish the basket I tied a piece of yellow ribbon on the handle and then attached the basket to the card. Next I stamped the bunny from the Unity set Lil Wee Bunny and colored with my copic markers then fussy cut and attached to the card using a wobble.  To finish I typed the sentiment and printed on white cardstock and backed it on Kraft and added to my card above the bunny and basket.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Hope you can play along with us this week!

Until next time

Special Day

Good morning! I wanted to share with you today the card I created for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week we have a fun Sketch for you

Here is what I created using this Sketch

I started with a Whisper White card base and then added a layer of black that I die cut using Gina Marie’s rectangle dotted stud dies and then a layer of Coastal Cabana recessed in the black layer.  Next I die cut the black circle using the circle dotted stud dies. For the inside of the black circle I die cut a piece of the SU Inside The Lines dsp and colored the flower with the coastal cabana blendabilities and the leaves with copics. I then die cut the bumble bee in black cardstock and popped him on the side of the flower. I then layered this piece on top the black circle and added to my card on the lower left side. Next I stamped the sentiment from SU Dragonfly Dreams above the circle on the coastal cabana layer. To finish I die cut the dragonflies from the coordinating thinlets and used Inka Gold Metallic rubs to color them and then added them above the main image.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Until next time

Quilted Hello

Hello! I am here today to share with you my design team card for Firefly Crafts.  On this cold and rainy day we are having all I wanted to do was crawl back into bed and curl up with my quilt. So I was inspired to use my Gina Marie quilt die for my card.

Here is what I created

How aweosme is that die!! I used SU Whisper White for my card base and then added a layer of SU Cheerful Treat DSP using the solid purple side.  Next I die cut the quilt with a piece of Whisper White and removed all the inside pieces and glued down the outline piece on top of the purple layer. Now I die cut the quilt using a piece of the DSP and used the inside pieces to fill in the outline piece on my card.  This is such a fabulous die to use up all that hoarded DSP ! For the sentiment I die cut the Hello from the SU Hello Thinlets using the same dsp three times and glued them together for added dimension and adhered it to my card. Now I used glossy accents and covered the inside purple pieces and the sentiment. After that dried I added a white flower to the center.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my creation.

If you would like to get this Circle Quilt Die you can find it here at Firefly Crafts

Good morning! It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week we have a Tic-Tac-Toe board for you to choose the items you would like to make a card with.

SIP Chanllenge 61 Tic-Tac-Toe

I choose the middle row and this is what I created

Sugar Hollow Tree

I started with a Pacific Point card base and then a layer of Kraft cardstock that I distressed with Vintage Photo ink.  I used my Gina Marie stitched hill dies and made the 2 layers of hillside. Next I stamped the SU Hardwood stamp in Early Espresso onto Kraft paper and then die cut it using the Heartfelt Creations Sugar Hollow Teee die. I stamped the image from the same set on a piece of Whisper White and colored in with my copics and then die cut using the die and snipped off the trunk and then layered this on top of the hardwood stamped image and added to my card sitting on top of the hills. To finish I stamped the sentiment from the same set with Stazon black ink.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! If you decide to play along with us for this challenge I can’t wait to see which items you choose to create with.

SIP Color Challenge#48

Good morning! I hope your week has been off to a good start. It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper.  This week is a color challenge and here is your inspirationSIP Color Challenge #48

I had so much fun creating with these colors. I have seen so many awesome shaker cards lately I decided I wanted to make one for this challenge.  Here is what I created

By The Tide

I don’t make many square cards and I’m not sure why because I really do love them! So for this card I started with a SU Chocolate Chip card base.  Next using my square stitched dies from Gina Marie I made my window border and then attached a piece of acetate to the backside covering the entire area.  Now I took a piece of SU Whisper White and stamped the reef image from the SU set By The Tide and then sponged Calypso Coral around the reef and Pool Party around the rest of the piece.  Next I stamped the seahorse from the same set and the sentiment from the SU set Wetlands.  To make this a shaker card I used foam mounting tape and placed it completely around the border of my stamped piece and then added sequins chunky glitter in the center then removed the backing from the mounting tape and placed the stitched border on top and pressed over all the edges to secure it to the mounting tape.  To finish I stamped the seashell from the set By The Tide in Chocolate Chip and then die cut it using my Dies by Dave die and sponged it with Calypso Coral ink and added it to my card front using dimensionals and then added my finished card front to my card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope you can join us this week to play with these great colors!

Until next time

SIP Challenge #37 Wood, Cork, Felt

Good morning!  It’s Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Stamp Ink Paper. This week is all about natural elements! Here is the inspiration

SIP Challenge #37 Wood, Cork, Felt

I don’t know about you but I love using natural elements on my cards! I choose to use cork and felt. This is what I created

Thinking of You

I started with a Midnight Muse card base.  Next I made a mask for the moon from a sticky note using a 3/4 circle punch.  Now I cut a layer of Whisper White and placed the moon mask in the upper right hand side and sponged around the mask with YoYo Yellow and Pumpkin Pie.  To create the blue sky background I sponged starting in the center with Marina Mist and then further out with Pacific Point and then in the outer edges with Midnight Muse and then I added this layer to my card base.  Next I die cut the trees from adhesive backed cork and then placed that on top of the sponged layer. Now I die cut the deers from Basic Black cardstock and tucked them behind the trees and then die cut the birds out of red felt material and adhered them in the trees.  To finish I stamped the sentiment from the set Moon Lake on to Whisper White and fussy cut and adhered it to a piece of black felt and attached to my card.

All of the dies I used in my card are from Gina Marie and you can find them here http://wholesalecraftingsupplies.com/t/-gina-marie-designs-?page=1

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have enjoyed my card this week and feel inspired to play along with us.

Until next time

You Are Awesome

Hello! I’m camped out in my craft room today because it’s too cold to do anything outside! Lol I got spoiled with that incredibly warm December we had here in Virginia.

I wanted to share one of the cards I made today

I started with a Whisper White card base and then I have a piece of Gumball Green and a piece of the Tea for Two dsp with a piece of Pear Pizzazz ribbon wrapped around those two layers and then adhered to the card base. The next four layers are cut using a die set from Gina Steimel called a Leafy Frame. You can find the dies here in her album on the Facebook group https://m.facebook.com/groups/1090253147653827?tsid=0.8369815435726196&source=typeahead

I cut all four layers from the die set in Whisper White. I colored the leafy border from the two layers with a green marker and once the ink was dry I covered the leaves in Crystal Effects and set aside to dry. The two layers that are layered inside of the leafy frames I distressed with green ink and on the smallest top layer I stamped my sentiment from Painted Petals with Stazon black. Once everything was dry I layered all the pieces together using pop dots and then placed on top of the dsp layer using pop dots as well. To finish I used the flower and vine dies from the set and cut pieces from a scrap piece of the dsp and placed those on the frame.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card. If you would like to join the Facebook group and share your creations we would love to have you there!

Until next time
