Good morning! First I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year! Do you have any crafty new year goals? My goals for this year is to make and send at least 10 birthday cards a month. I also want to make at least 5 Christmas cards a month so I will be finished and ready to mail them all by the beginning of December. So to start this year off I have made a masculine birthday card for our new challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper. Our first challenge for 2018 is all about embossing. Here is the inspiration
I love all the different ways you can use embossing but for my card today I chose an embossing folder. Here is what I created
I started with a kraft card base and added a layer of Basic black. For the next layer I used a piece of kraft and embossed using the Tim Holtz Travel Signs folder and then distressed the embossed portions with Vintage Photo ink and added this layer on top of the black. Next I embossed a piece of silver foil paper with the folder and die cut the center with a circle framelit and adhered this on top of the kraft embossed layer lining up the words. I used black soot ink and distressed the foil layer. To finish my card I stamped the train image by Blue Knight Rubber Stamps, and colored in using my copics and then fussy cut and added to my card front using dimensionals.
You can find the train stamp here http://blueknightrubberstamps.com/antique-train/.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Until next time
Happy Crafting 🙂
