My Hearts Pleasure

SIP Sketch Challenge #55

Good morning!  First I would like to say I hope you all had a safe and happy holiday weekend. It’s Tuesday and I’m here to share my card for our challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.  We have a fun sketch challenge for you this week

Stamp Ink Paper Sketch Challenge #55

As soon as I seen this sketch I immediately seen an upside down Polaroid frame so I knew what I wanted to do! Here is the card I created

Life Is Like A Camera

I started with a Basic Black card base and then added a layer I embossed with a Darice camera folder that I sponged with Basic Grey ink.  Next I added a strip of Idea-ology film strip to the right side of the embossed layer.  For the Polaroid piece I used my Lawn Fawn Say Cheese stamp and die set.  I stamped and cut the Polaroid frame and then inked with Basic Grey ink and then layered a piece of Basic Black in the back of the opening.  I embossed the camera image from the Inkadinkado set Cameras and finished by stamping the sentiment from a Mama Elephant stamp set.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my card and are inspired to play along with us!

Until next time

Happy Crafting 🙂

  1. Hello Ginger: WOW!! that strip of film could’t have been more perfect for your card. Isn’t it awesome when a card just clicks (no pun intended) in your head when you see a sketch or a theme? This card is awesome, I know my granddaughter would love it because she took a photography class on her Senior year and she was taking pictures of everything in sight, LOL!! I wish I had her experience taking pictures of my cards, some times I struggle with lighting and all the “options” my camera has.
Love that embossing folder, the camera image is fabulous and that film strip is just awesome and the little tin can where I think it came in, just adorable.
    Thank you for sharing.
    Maria Rodriguez.
