Good Morning and welcome to my blog.  Today I am over at the OSAT Holidays Blog Hop.  This month we are sharing our Christmas creations. Here is my card

  • Stampin Up Woodland Christmas
  • I got the idea for this card from a very talented fellow crafter Lisa Jones. For my card I choose to use the new Stampin Up Woodlands embossing folder. Which may be my all time favorite folder ever!!! I started with a Night of Navy card base. The next layer is a piece of Whisper White embossed with the Simply Falling folder. The top layer I started with a piece of Whisper White and before embossing it with the Woodlands folder I did the following to the folder : first I punched a 1 inch circle and taped it on the folder where I wanted the moon to be, and then I used my brayer and Marina Mist ink and went over the side of the folder that has the trees recessed (Tina this is another reason why you need this ink!!). Next I used Mossy Meadow ink and the trees stamp from the set Wonderland and stamped the trees randomly on the bottom side. Next I removed the circle mask I had taped down and put my cardstock in the folder and embossed. After removing the paper I used Baked Brown Sugar ink and my brayer and went over the trees.  Next I outlined the trees with a black Sharpie pen. I learned this technique from my very talented and creative friend Sharon White!! I used a white gel pen to give the look of falling snow. Next I attached this piece to the embossed white piece and added the strip of white grosgrain ribbon and then attached those pieces to the card base. I stamped the sentiment from Cozy Christmas in versamark on the navy cardstock and heat embossed in white and then fussy cut and popped it on the ribbon. Here is a closer pic of my card

My passionate hobbies are scrapbooking, making cards, mini albums (ok anything paper crafting hehe), hiking, camping, fishing, photography, gardening and cooking. I have one grown son, 28, and my boyfriend and I are raising his 16 year old son. I work full time for a dairy company to feed my passion for my hobbies.
